God Bless you people of God
Don't forget, we are still fasting (from food from 8AM TO 6PM; drinking only water and/or juice) We are reading a proverb a day and praying 3 times daily.
Focus text:
1 To man belong the plans of the heart,
but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.
2 All a man's ways seem innocent to him,
but motives are weighed by the LORD.
3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed.
4 The LORD works out everything for his own ends—
9 In his heart a man plans his course,
but the LORD determines his steps.
25 There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.
33 The lot is cast into the lap,
but its every decision is from the LORD.
Reflection: Today's focus text is saturated with a central theme. The theme is that whether we like it or not ALL POWER TO DETERMINE THE END RESULT OF ANY SITUATION BELONGS TO GOD. This offers us motivation to move through life led by the one who knows and controls all things. For this very reason it is futile to try to go about this Christian walk on our own. We have a relationship with the great CEO, the one who hold the most powerful seat ever known to this world. Why not take advantage of the opportunity to avoid certain challenges by consulting the president, the great CEO, that we might have insight.
Here is something we have to understand. Our ways seem right to us most of the time. Sometimes we really think that our way is the right way and we refuse to open our mind to the possibility that God has something else in the plan. This is where we forsake humility for our own genius and forget that God is in control. There is never a time where God was in control. God always is in control even when the situation looks like it is beyond control. That is a word for one of us today. God IS still in control.
every decision is from the lord so commit your plans, your ways, your desires, you heart, your everything to God. You will be blessed in doing this. Let us be intentional in this matter because it is the wise thing to do
Be Blessed

So lesson of the day: Don't hit the "Back" button when trying to post a comment. I lost my post. :(
ReplyDeleteMy reflection: God is sovereign over all, and what he says is ultimate. Our deepest desires, passions and longings belong to man, but if we remain grounded in the word and align those desires, passions and longings with the Lord then he will see those plans through til the end. God's word is final. Hence verses 1, 3, and 9 states the same thing to hit the message home for those who have different styles in receiving and delivering information.
The other information in this text are instructions on how to act in the physical to see your plan through. There are also several warnings for those who think they are slick and can seek the plans of their heart that does not align with Him and to know that ultimately as said before, God is sovereign and omniscient (sp?). You will not get away with anything in the end, but test him if you must and see the path of destruction follow you.
Read the Bible, pray and be focused on God. Let your actions and words reflect that of the Lord, and it will all come together in the end. Who doesn't like someone to speak what is true and right? It is all in the approach...learn from the master, G-O-D. SHO NUFF!! :)
I am off to class, but will hope to put more up when I am able to read the passage again and reflect more on it. Let me know if you have any questions.
Be blessed!
