Bless you as you have completed your first week of our 30 day journey. Our next 7 days will require us to be a bit more disciplined in our practice. Stay tuned.

Focus Text

21 With persuasive words she led him astray;
she seduced him with her smooth talk.

22 All at once he followed her
like an ox going to the slaughter,
like a deer [b] stepping into a noose [c]

23 till an arrow pierces his liver,
like a bird darting into a snare,
little knowing it will cost him his life.

Reflection: People of God, being led astray can cost us our life. It can cost us some of our time and cost us some of our resources. One of the things that leads us astray is persuasive words. Let us consider the words that convince us to make certain decision. Mal-intended persuasion is at the root of many negative and ungodly decisions. So today lets pay close attention to the words that are inserted into our souls. Let us be sure that we are not being led to the slaughter house. If anything let us stream all our thoughts and decisions through the lens of Christ.
